Attending a Dosco Friday in London
I had the opportunity to attend a Dosco Friday in London two days ago. Hats of to Rishab Sharma (553-JA '94), Premjit Chopra (440-TB '93), Vivek Thadani (532-OB '95) and the rest of the crew for organizing these. They are highly enjoyable evenings growing with each month and are made all the more interesting by the presence of wives, girlfriends and Welhamites!
Most impressive is that these London events have become a monthly fixture. The group is planning to try a new pub time in a different part of the city. Doscos attend when they can and there's always enough new people to make a fun evening.
Here's a challenge - Can DSOBS city representatives (or other doscos) in cities with large dosco populations like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Singapore, London and New York organize monthly get togethers? There used to be monthly get-togethers in Delhi at a Nirulas bar but nothing since to the best of my knowledge. These events take little effort, do an immense amount to bring us all together and nicely complement the more formal get-togethers.
Do you think we're up for this?

Shiv, thanks for the post. Its really easy to organize and everyone has a fantastic time. I think we could take this around the world!

Thank you all for showing up and making the event even more merrier than the previous one!
25+ people in all - perhaps its a new Dosco record that there were more spouses, girlfriends, and friends who happen to be girls, then Dosco's themselves.
The interesting thing is that Welhamites (i.e. Welham Girls) in London may join our monthly get-together, which is fantastic news for those who are from the batch of 1986, who unfortunately had their socials cancelled. (BEES SAAL BAAD:1986-2006!)
For the next event, we are changing the venue and are currently in the process of selecting a place in the vicinity of Green Park / Bond Street / Oxford Circus. If anyone knows of a fantastic venue (preferably a pub / lounge) that can contain the excitement of the batch of 1986 (of finally having socials!) please let us know. In the interim, please save the date - Friday, October 27th @ 6:30 pm

Hi, when and where is the next get together in London. I live here and did not know about it. I'd love to attend and meet with other doscos.
