Doon and Welham Alumni Gather for Mumbai

In an act aimed at highlighting communal solidarity and paying respects to the unfortunate victims of the recent Mumbai Terror attacks, a silent meeting of 70 Old Boys and Welham girls took place at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Sunday, 7th December. All those gathered were dressed in black as a mark of respect to the fallen victims of the atrocity and no placards or slogans were displayed at the meet. The aim of the meeting was to demonstrate the common Indian's allegiance to aiding civic bodies in keeping India safe from terrorism. Ankur Bahl, one of the organisers of the meeting and a member of the Doon Batch of '76, said 'We hope that people will take more notice of our safety now, and that we can all come together to create a form of shadow government within society to help revamp the current security structure.'
