The Doon School is located in 69 acre campus which is self-contained and houses approximately 480 boys. The student teacher ratio is 10 : 1. In addition to studies, a wide range of games, crafts, hobbies and other activities have been organised to provide an all-round education for development of intellect, manual aesthetic skills and character.

The School is open to all, irrespective of caste, creed, colour or religion and strictly non-denominational and secular. It has no temples, mosques or churches on the premises and neither does it serve pork or beef. The school is a member of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and prepares the boys for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Standard X Examination) and thereafter for the Indian School Certificate (Standard XII Exam).
