Bills for all other expenses incurred during the Spring Term are sent out by July and for the Autumn Term by the following January and payments are expected within 21 days of the bill. A late payment fee of Rs. 50/- per fortnight of delay or part thereof is charged for delays in payment of these as well as the bill. Apart from this if fees or other dues are outstanding for more than one term the child is liable to be refused admission in the following term. Like any other organized activity, the School cannot run without any planned cash flow and we earnestly expect parents to cooperate.
On admission a security of Rs. 20,000/- is taken and is adjusted in the last bill in the July of the year the boy passes out. A non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 20,000 is also charged to each boy.
Also on admission an imprest charge of Rs. 800/- is made to cover to the cost of initial outfitting of the child. In subsequent terms the imprest account has to be made up to this amount at the beginning of each term.
For NRI's/Foreigners the School fee is payable in US Dollars as follows:

The Board of Governors reserves the right to revise the Registration Fee, the Security Deposit, the Admission Fee, as well as the School fee at their discretion, as per the need of the School.

No account is rendered for Rs. 200/- per term out of the imprest account. This amount is taken to cover a number of petty miscellaneous extras and all items under Rs. 5 each, which would cost more to account for. In the last bill, a sum of Rs. 1000/- is mandatorily added to make the boy a life member of the Doon School Old Boys Society.
Withdrawal / Seat Retention
If a child is withdrawn from school at any time the following rules apply:
Notice of withdrawal must be given within 30 days of the last day of the term just completed. There will be a fee of Rs. 500/- for a shorter notice period.
If a boy is withdrawn once term has started, no refund fee is possible.
If a boy is withdrawn on medical ground acceptable to the Headmaster, a rebate of only 20 % of the fees will be given in event that the absence is for half a term or longer.
If a boy is withdrawn temporarily for a term and due advance notice is given a seat retention fee of Rs. 6000/- per term will be payable. Seat retention beyond one term is not permitted.
