Tribute to Viji Hensman, former housemaster of Kashmir House Dear Friends, I share this with a heavy heart - dad is no longer amongst our midst - he has gone to be this his parents, sisters and brother and other loved ones, leaving us (mummy, Indhu, Shiranthini & self) to cherish all the good times we had together. How can I forget the love for sports and choral singing that all three of his children today relish and enjoy, stemmed from him. How can I forget his '4th child' - the boys of KB - he enjoyed every thing he did at school - be it Plays, play & Coach Hockey, coach boys in Basketball, or teach English - besides throw dividers!! Well he was one Indian who never played Cricket but enjoyed watching the matches on a Sunday sitting on a chair in front of our home on the Main field. How can I forget the Choir practices and the his being ready first for that and then getting after us for being late! But usually be the last on other things - even the end of Term Reports!!!!!! I re-call being in his English class and sitting in the last row - sleeping or not paying attention to while he read one of the books "Hard Times" and then when I read the book before my ICSE exams - going up to him at home and saying that Dickens writes so well - he said - "yes you never listened in class at least now you know"!! There is so much that goes through my mind that I can go on and on talking of - just as many of you will have to share - all I can say is we all remember and can cherish the good times we spent with him. Please share this with friends (& old boys) who knew mom and dad.
